A Little History

VancouverIslandParks.com is a project by graphic designer and website developer Caprina Valentine, who was born, grew up and lived on Vancouver Island most of her life. She now resides back in her hometown of Sooke, BC.

VancouverIslandParks.com began in August 2000 as a basic website. At the end of 2010, Caprina redesigned it on the open source WordPress platform to better manage and grow the content of the website and hopefully, with your feedback, add an interactive component with the addition of our blog and social media channels.

This is a privately-run website, without any government financial assistance. We are open to commercial sponsorship or advertising.
